Hantavirus continues to spread throughout Chile
Government has now confirmed 18 cases of the deadly virus in the country.
The number of confirmed cases of Hantavirus in Chile has reached 18, according to the Institute of Public Health (ISP).
Officials revealed the two most recent cases on Wednesday, adding to the 16 previously documented cases.
A 21-year-old man living in the Bío Bío region of southern Chile reportedly caught the illness while working as a stocker in supermarket. The other new case was a 20-year-old man in the city of Maullín in the Los Lagos Region.
